Bio

Brian Wondergem is a sculptor based in Minneapolis, MN. He was born in Johnson City, TN and graduated in 2004 from Yale School of Art's M.F.A. program. Wondergem’s unique approach involves sculptural installation, painting, and assemblage. He has exhibited in numerous public and alternative spaces, and often collaborates with non-traditional or artist-run venues to create site-specific projects. He participated in the EAF07: Emerging Artist Fellowship Show at Socrates Sculpture Park in 2007. In 2010, he was invited to live and work in Zagreb, Croatia through Art in General’s Eastern European Residency Exchange Program with the Croatian Council of Artists (HDLU). While there he presented a show of public sculpture that was exhibited outside of the Mestrovich Pavilion.
In 2012, he had a solo exhibition at Kidd Yellin Gallery in Red Hook Brooklyn. Since then he has participated in variety of shows and residencies hosted through organizations like P.S.122, Abrons Art Center, Knockdown Center, NADA Hudson, and Regina Rex Gallery.
